THE LADIES' CLASS, or BIBLE READING, Thursday Afternoon, at Half-past Three o'clock. The Committee of the class is as follows :-- Miss Ena Birkmyre, Miss L. SABBATH EVENING PRAYER MEETING. -- This Meeting is held in the class room every Sabbath Evening (from November to May) immediately after Evening Service. It lasts about ten or fifteen minutes. The Secretary is Mr. DAVID PORTER, who will be always glad to receive the names of those who are willing to take part in it PRAYER UNION CARDS can also be obtained from him, or from the Pastor.

COMMUNICANTS' CLASS, for six or eight weeks before May and November Communions. The course of lessons is different each time.

THE LORD'S SUPPER on the First Sabbath of February, May, September, and November. Those who wish to join the Church by certificate from other Congregations are requested to send their certificates to some Member of Session at least a week before the Communion Sabbath. Tokens of admission are distributed by the Elders privately, each in his own district; but as mistakes occasionally occur from changes of residence, illness of Elders, &c., any Member of the Church who does not receive his token in time is requested to ask for it at the service before the Communion, or in the vestibule on the morning of the Communion Sabbath.

BANDS OF HOPE. -- There is a Band of Hope in each of these Sabbath Schools, in which almost all the teachers and scholars are enrolled. The Rosemary Street Band of Hope meets on the third Tuesday Evening of each month; Mr. JOHN M'CAW and Miss ENA BIRKMYRE are the Secretaries. The Lilliput Band of Hope has also Monthly Meetings; Secretary Mr. ARCHIBALD KENT, jun.

THE CONGREGATIONAL MISSIONARY, Mr. RICHARD HASKIS, conducts the following services in the Old Lodge Road School room:

Members of the Congregation will be always welcome at his meetings, and can greatly help and encourage him by au occasional visit.

THE BIBLE WOMAN, Miss TINSLEY, visits in the district around the Church. A Committee of Ladies visit with her and aid her in her work, Mrs. PARK acting as Secretary. They will gladly receive any donations in money or in clothes for the poor from Members of the Congregation.

ROSEMARY STREET TEMPERANCE SOCIETY. -- Mr. DAVID THOMSON and Mr. S. C. WATSON are Joint Secretaries and Treasurers. Public Lectures are given from time to time, under the auspices of the Society.

ROSEMARY STREET ASSOCIATION FOR CONNAUGHT SCHOOLS AND BALLINA ORPHANAGE. -- There are 39 Schools, with 42 teachers, mostly in Connaught, and more than 40,000 children have received instruction in them since their formation. In the Orphanage are 70 boys and girls. To sustain Schools and Orphanage £1,900 a year are needed. Last year this Congregation contributed £19 13s. Od. and our three Sabbath Schools gave, in addition, £11 Os. Od. Collectors call once a year for subscriptions.

ROSEMARY STREET BRANCH OF THE ZENANA MISSION, OR FEMALE ASSOCIATION FOR PROMOTING CHRISTIANITY AMONG THE WOMEN OF THE EAST.

Secretary -- Mrs. PARK; Treasurer -- Mrs. WRIGHT.

This Association sends Medical and other Lady Missionaries to the women of India, employs about 30 native Christian Agents, and supports 18 girls' schools, with 1,120 on the rolls. About thirty houses are visited, and the women instructed. More than 23,000 visits were paid to the Dispensaries during the year. Rosemary Street Congregation raised £121 3s. 1d. last year. The Lady Collectors call for subscriptions about the end of January.

SEWING MEETING FOR ZENANA MISSION.

This meeting was held fortnightly at the beginning of this season, and from the New Year will meet monthly on the Second Monday of the month, from Four till Seven o'clock, in the class room. Work is also done by many ladies at home. Orders for work, plain and fancy, are solicited. A Sale is held each year about Christmas. The Secretaries of the Sewing Meeting are Mrs. MacFARLAND and Mrs. BRYCE; and the Treasurer, Miss BOWDEN.

R08EMARY STREET DORCAS SOCIETY.

This Society is intended to provide clothes, &c., for the poor of the Congregation, Sabbath Schools, and Mission District, or to help them in procuring them. It is supported partly by a Congregational grant, and partly by subscriptions.

CHRISTIAN WORKERS' UNION.

This Union is intended to embrace all the Christian Workers of the Congregation. Information can be had from the Convener of the Committee of Session, Mr. HUGH RANKIN.

ROSEMARY STREET YOUNG MEN'S GUILD.

The Secretary is Mr. JOHN SINCLAIR, and the Treasurer, Mr. THOS. STIRLING. A statement about the Guild is embodied in the Report, and programmes, &c., can be had from any of the members.

ROSEMARY ST. YOUNG PEOPLE S MISSIONARY ASSOCIATION.

Secretaries -- Miss MACFARLAND and Miss MARY E. PARK.

Treasurers -- Mr. ERNEST F. LEATHEM and Mr. CHARLES SINCLAIR.

The object of this Association is to interest young people in Missions, and to encourage the habit of giving for God's work. It has 118 members. Meetings are held at which interesting papers on Missionary subjects are read. Money boxes are supplied to the members, and these are opened three times a year, and the money voted to various Missionary objects.

SOCIETY FOR PROVIDING NURSES FOR THE SICK POOR.

Mrs. PARK (in company with Miss PORTER) collected £36 3s. 6d. last year for this most useful charity, most of this sum being contributed by the Members of this Congregation. There are eight nurses employed by the Society, and last year they attended 897 patients. Every case among our own poor, for which aid has been asked, has been promptly attended to.

TOWN MISSION.

Mr. KENT and Mr. JONATHAN VINT, JUN., collect £35 per annum in the Congregation, which we pay to the Town Mission Committee as our moiety of Mr. HASKIS' salary. The other portion of his salary is paid by the Town Mission itself. This Mission employs sixteen agents to look after the poor, visiting them in their homes, and holding meetings (almost 4,000 last year), which are attended by many who never enter the House of God. 130 families, through the agency of the Town Mission, joined the Church during the year. More than 700 ships were also visited by the Missionaries.

These school rooms, built chiefly through the liberality of the late Mr. HUGH CURRIE, stand on a fine site between Lilliput and Cosgrove Streets, and are in capital order. There is a Boys' School, a Girls' School, and an Infants' School on the premises. Visitors will be always welcome. Details will be found in the Report of Session.

This Class met during the early part of the season weekly; Conductor, Mr. H. SCOTT. Owing to a change of Precentor, it is now temporarily suspended.

CONGREGATIONAL LIBRARY.

The Library is open every Sabbath, before and after Morning Service, before Evening Service, and also on Wednesday Evening before Prayer Meeting. Large additions of the best and newest books, chiefly intended for Sabbath reading, have been recently made to it, and it is free to all members of the Church. Librarians -- Messrs. HUGH A. PEW ARRANGEMENTS.

The Pew Committee attend at the Church every Wednesday Evening in May and November, from Seven till Eight o'clock. Applications for Pews at any other time to be made to the Conveners, Mr. WILLIAM WILSON, High Street, or Mr. JOHN B. WALLACE, Brookhill Avenue. Stipend is brought to the Church in envelopes, which are put in the pews, at the beginning of every half-year.

THE SUSTENTATION FUND.

Contributions are brought in envelopes, which are placed in the pews quarterly, on the First Sabbath of April, July, October, and January. Those who prefer it will be called on regularly for subscriptions. Out of this Fund and the Commutation Fund an equal dividend is paid to all Ministers in full charge of congregations of about £85 a year. Without such a fund many of our congregations must cease to exist. (See Report of Committee, p. 19). The Convener of the Sustentation Fund Committee is Mr. M. J. BROWNE.

MISSION COLLECTIONS.

The Collections ordered by the Assembly for 1890 are as follows :Foreign Mission (India and China) -- Jan. 26.
Church Extension (especially for Leinster and Munster) -- Mar. 9.
Continental Mission (makes grants to Churches in Canada, Australia, &c.) -- June 29.

The probable date of the other Collections is:--
Irish Mission (especially for Connaught and for Colportage) -- Sept. 14.
Jewish Mission (Hamburg and Damascus) -- Nov. 16.
Soldiers and Sailors and Weak Congregations -- Dec. 7.

QUARTERLY COLLECTIONS.

These Collections are for the purpose of augmenting the ordinary Sabbath Collections, to meet the general expenses of the Congregation. The Interest on our Debenture Debt alone is now about £100.

PRESBYTERIAN ORPHAN SOCIETY.

This Society, which has on its roll about 2,500 orphans, with an income of above £10,000, is always popular with this Congregation. Last year our contributions amounted to £l34 18s 6d. Last year grants were given to Orphans to the amount of £9,543 16s. 6d. The Training Home for Girls is now open, with above 30 inmates. There are several of our families receiving aid, and two families having been taken on at last election.

SESSION AND COMMITTEE.

The Session meets on the Thursday before each Communion at Seven o'clock, and in the other months of the year, on the first Wednesday Evening of the month. at Seven o'clock. The Committee meets usually on the First or Second Thursday of February, May, August, and November.
